River’s Edge

Inspiration for this piece came from the patterns created doing deconstructive screen printing.

Finding large mushrooms on a morning walk and working it into a print inspired me to create this piece.

Trees I - Winter

20” W x 25” H, Hand dyed cotton, silk, commercial fabrics, digital imagery, screen, rice bag, decorative threads, textile paint.

While in Japan, I purchased a rice bag and then dyed it in an Indigo vat which led me to create this piece.

Trees II - Snow

17 1/2” W x 22” H, Hand dyed cotton, silk, commercial fabrics, digital imagery, decorative threads, textile paint.

I love trees and wanted to continue with this theme in this second piece.

Trees III - Blue

15” W x 18” H, Hand dyed cotton, image transfers, decorative threads, textile paints.

The third piece in this series was created in blue, inspired by images I had created in blue.

While in Switzerland, I photographed a wonderful old door which was the inspiration for this piece.

I used leftovers from the first piece as there were still so many interesting fabrics leftover.
