I like to say I start with white; I add color through mx or acid dyes by dyeing or deconstructive screen printing and sometimes digital imagery. From there, I’ll discharge color, silk screen and create marks using paint, charcoal and pens. Often a sheer overlay is used to give more dimension. My main focus is the imagery - my own photos along with old family photos, writings and documents. I love to connect with the past through my art.
