Half Day Workshops Cutwork Collage and Richilieu Students will work with fun novelty prints, cut apart and rearranged on backing fabric. They will begin a small piece consisting of collaged fabric appliques. Using water soluble stabilizer and decorative threads, students will create the free standing version of an older technique known as Richilieu. Machine, Advanced beginner level, Half day Supply List Introduction to Fabric Weaving Students will create a sampler of woven fabric using 2 different fabrics and decorative threads. This exciting piece of fabric is wonderful for "art-to-wear" as well as quilts. This easy and fun technique gives great results in a short amount of time. Machine, Beginner level, Half day Supply List Introduction to Machine Needlelace Students will be introduced to the beautiful free motion technique of machine needlelace. Students will make samples of lace in an applique, lace without an applique, overlays and exciting dimensional wired lace petals and butterflies. Machine, Intermediate level, Half day Supply List Wonderful Textures Students will explore the many possibilities for creating texture through stitching and fabric manipulation.
